One Another: Intentional Acts of Kindness
Friends. What incredible blessings in our times of great joy, deep sorrow, and every moment in between. Relationships are vitally important to God. In fact, the term “one another” is used 100 times in 94 New Testament verses, with 47 of those verses giving instructions to the church, and 60% of those instructions coming from Paul.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

Exalting Him, Leigh Ann
Today, out of the blue, a friend calls me up and says "Are you home?". Without offering me any other details, I told her when I would be home and I would touch base with her then. I called her on my way home to probe for more information. She simply stated that she had something for me and needed to drop it off before she went out of town.
When my sweet friend came to my door, she was carrying a simple bouquet of flowers and a cooler bag full of a lasagna and cookie dough for dessert. Tears immediately came to my eyes as I looked back at her, not knowing what to say. She knew the last few weeks had been tough and stressful for my husband and I, and she simply wanted to bless us with a meal.
Acts of kindness are often the best way to show others the love of Christ - especially when they are unexpected. This simple gesture of a warm meal, reminded me of God's grace and love. Although we don't deserve it, He sent his Son down, to give us the ultimate gift - His love and His life on the cross in place of ours.
Is there someone in your life right now that you could bless with a simple meal and flowers? It doesn't need to be fancy. Sometimes frozen lasagna, cookie dough, paper plates and flowers make you feel like you're eating like a queen. I encourage you to pray to see if there is anyone in your life that may need random kindness to show them the love of God.
