About Keepers Ministry
Welcome!
Hello, I am so glad you stopped by. My name is Lori Merrill and I am the founder and team leader of the Keepers Ministry (originally Keepers of the Home). I, along with the Keepers Ministry team, have launched this site so that we could better serve the women that desire to live out the priorities that God has given us in His Word. Please grab your favorite drink and browse our site so you can learn about this exciting ministry. While you are here, we pray you will be encouraged and challenged to be all that God has called you to be. We hope also that you will feel as though you have found a friend in the faith. -Lori
Statement of Faith
We believe that there is one true living God. This God, whom we call Father, sent His Son, Jesus Christ to be the Savior of the world. He died upon the cross for our sins so that we could have a relationship with a Holy God, the Father. Because of the sacrifice of His Son, I am able to have a relationship with my Father and have the security of knowing that I will live eternally in heaven with Him. I am thankful that I have His Spirit living inside of me which guides, comforts, convicts, and prompts me. All of the things I believe are based on the inerrant truth of God’s Word. Through the study of His Word, this Bible study and ministry was birthed. His Word provides guidance for living and sets me free from living a life that was full, but meaningless. I now live a life according to His priorities and long for other women to know the freedom that I have experienced and still experience today.
Our Ministry Purpose Statement:
The purpose of the Keepers Ministry is to teach, encourage, and minister to women while helping them find joy and contentment in God’s call on their life as a Keeper.
Ministry Description
This is an exciting ministry for women of all ages and stages of life to rediscover joy, contentment, and value in being the woman God has called them to be. This ministry seeks to encourage women to understand the value of their role in light of God’s Word and to help them walk in contentment and satisfaction while carrying out their calling as found in Titus 2 and Proverbs 31.
What is the good news of the Gospel, and how can I have a personal relationship with God?
The good news is that God, who created you and loves you, is preparing a beautiful place for you to spend eternity. The bad news is that because of your sin (the wrong things we all do) you are separated from God (who is holy and just) and are destined for hell. The best news is that you can be forgiven of your sins and made right with God. How? “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son [Jesus, who died in your place] that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
If you acknowledge that you are a sinner, repent (turn away from your sins), and receive Jesus to be your Savior and the Lord of your life, you will be saved. At that moment your sins will be forgiven and you will become a child of God with all the blessings that come with that, including the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and an eternal home in heaven reserved for you. You may start your relationship with God with a prayer that says something like this:
God, I admit and confess that I am a sinner and that I need a Savior. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died in my place on the cross, and I place my faith in Him for the forgiveness of my sins. I turn away from my sins and commit my life to You. Amen
If you have more questions about becoming a Christian, or if you have made the decision to receive Jesus as your Savior, we would love to hear from you so that we can rejoice with you and encourage you as you grow in your new relationship with God. Please contact us at Contact Us.
