God, Help My Child

Posted by Steph Whitley on 03/04/2019

As a parent, one of my greatest responsibilities is to attempt to shape my children's hearts. And some hearts take a little longer than others. Some of you know exactly what I am talking about...

~Maybe you have a child that struggles to be kind at home.
~Maybe you have a child that struggles with self-control and is quick to argue.
~Maybe you have a child that keeps getting into trouble over the same things day after day.

I have seen the Lord work in my child and this is one of the biggest lessons that I have learned: "Shaping a heart can be a long term project. It's not a quick fix." This helps me to be patient with my child & this helps me to keep holding onto hope.

Sweet mama, when you are frustrated or overwhelmed with your child...
~keep shaping his/her heart with gentleness.
~keep pointing out his/her strengths often.
~keep praying for him/her to have a tender heart.

You are so loved. Hugs to you, Steph
