God's Peace in the Midst of Chaos

Posted by Lori Merrill on 09/28/2020

Yes, it’s true. God’s peace really can, and does, supersede all the chaos in our lives. However, it is up to us to receive that peace. In other words, I have to take the time to stop and pray and respond to God’s guidance. I can’t expect God to envelope me in peace as I resist His direction for me. I have a responsibility to respond to His promptings through His Spirit. That may look different each time, but it surely requires me to pause long enough to pray and talk to Him about the chaos I am experiencing within my heart and mind.
.

Then I must wait and receive His wisdom and comfort. God promises He will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). My responsibility is to trust His Word and believe His words spoken to us.

Friend, God is a good Father who loves His children. Will we feel pain? Yes. Will we struggle in this world? Yes. Will we always understand His ways? No. However, we can have peace in the midst of ALL that this world allows into our lives. That peace is found in our faith in a God who is full of love and justice. A God who is sovereign, yet merciful. A God who sent His Son Jesus to be the Savior to the world...for us...for you, and me.
.
Knowing Him =Trusting Him=Peace!

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” John‬ ‭14:27‬.
.
*Friend, if you do these things mentioned and still struggle to have His peace as you once did, then consider the possibility of a physical ailment that affects your mental and emotional health. I share this with you from personal experience.
God bless you & much love to you,
Lori Merrill
