Looking for the Positives

Max and I enjoyed gathering seashells every morning at the beach. We made these jars so that we could REMEMBER. And I redid our little mud area for summer. : )

In my daily life, sometimes, I forget to remember God’s faithfulness. I forget to remember His goodness. I forget to count thanks. And when I do this, I begin to struggle mentally.

I had a season when I got stuck dwelling on my negatives. I had to learn how to fight for a contented heart. I began counting thanks daily. I would write out ten thanks a day. It could be as simple as a cup coffee. And then I would give God my negatives by journaling them into prayers. I began to have a contented heart even though my circumstances had not changed.

How are you doing? It’s been a long season for some of you. And I know some of you are walking through really difficult circumstances. Message me if you need extra prayers.

Each day, make yourself look for the positives. Count them. Name them. And then shape your negatives into prayers. Contentment will come if you keep doing this day after day. We can have a contented heart even when our circumstances are challenging.
