Motherhood: Pray for Minimal Wounds
I love the Fall. We are finally getting a few cooler temps in the desert. : )
It has always been my heart's desire to do this parenting thing right but the truth is I am flawed and imperfect.
~There are days when I can speak a harsh word.
~There are days when I can give a glaring look.
~There are days when I can react & even rant a little.
As a young mom, I read a book by an author and this has become the prayer of my heart as well...
"God, help me to wound my children minimally." (Beth Moore)
God, help us to wound our children minimally. Help us to speak words that make their souls stronger. And when we blow it, help us to get back up, help us to accept responsibility, and help us to begin again with gentleness. Amen.
*Sidenote: Sometimes I hear from moms that have raised their children and they have regrets, etc. Our enemy wants us to focus on all of our failures. Look back for the good. It's there sweet mom. Hugs, Steph.
