Parenting
As a parent you might be thinking, “I am doing the best I know how to do.” I’m sure you are. But what if I told you that you can do better than what you are doing now? You and I can do better than our best. Our best is nothing compared to God’s best. God did not give you these precious gifts in your life only to leave you to figure out on your own. He called you to love, nurture, protect, and teach them. As you allow God to do all these things through you, your life will be an example to them of His love. However, to be a godly example we must pray and depend upon Him for:
Provision—“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
Leadership—“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.” Psalm 37:5
Discernment—“for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” Proverbs 3:26
