Plan Your Priorities NOW by Reading through the Bible or Give it as a Gift

Posted by Lori Merrill & Leigh Ann Hudson on 12/21/2017

Have you ever read through the Bible? I know it may seem like a daunting task, but what if I told you there are ways to do it that make it a little smoother and even easier? Or maybe you are still looking for a unique and helpful gift for that person in your life that loves the Lord and wants to learn more about Him through His Word?

First, I highly recommend for you to use the Chronological Bible. It is exactly what it says. The events and stories are listed in order as they happened instead of being segmented by books. This is extremely helpful for getting an accurate timeline of events set in your mind. Currently, Mardel has Bibles on sale at a 20% discount, CBD (Christian Book Distributors) also has them on sale, or you can check out other book sellers.

If you would like to go even deeper, I encourage you to try BiAY (Bible in a Year) which has wonderful resources. They will help you understand the events and details of the Bible so much better and more thoroughly. Plus, they are great resources to use in a group study as well. When you order you can choose from various options, including hard copies or downloadable PDF’s, plus you can add a link on your phone for easy access to their site.

  • The Study Guide includes: book previews, detailed maps, helpful illustrations, organized charts, and weekly reviews.
  • The Daily Reflections is a devotional with concise summaries and introspective questions for daily personal application. [Note: The Scripture quotations and reading schedule are taken from the One Year Chronological Bible, NLT version by Tyndale, the red cover version shown here.]

You still have time to order these materials now and plan for it before the new year begins! Make God’s Word a priority in 2018 for you and those around you.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

In His Love,
