Praying For Kindness

Posted by Steph Whitley on 05/20/2020
Last night, I sent a text to my kid who was upstairs that said “Sorry for being irritable today”. (Does anybody else text their kids in the house?!? Ha!)

It’s been somewhat of a long stretch and I’m feeling a little tired. And I’m probably not carving out enough time to recharge. When I am more tired than usual, I have to be careful that I don’t get stuck in irritable or “crabby mode”. Because that’s not fun for my people. Here are some things I’m praying daily:

renew my strength and hope today.
help me to be consistently kind.
help me to be a responder & not a reactor.
help me to take time to enjoy my people.
help me to take time to recharge so that I can give my people my best version.
and if I get irritated or annoyed, help me to put on kindness, gentleness and love once again.

Ephesians 4:5 “Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.”
