Praying for Our Husbands
Post by Steph Whitley: This crazy time of life that we are in can be challenging for marriages. There seems to be extra stress floating in the air.
When my husband and I are struggling to get along, the Enemy starts bringing to mind every weakness and flaw that my husband has. I’ve learned to be on the lookout for this. I try to “do battle” by making a mental list of all of his strengths and positives. And when I do this, my anger starts to fade and my heart begins to want to work things out with him.
God, help me to recognize when I am entertaining negative thoughts about my husband. And help me to make the shift to thinking on his strengths so that love has a chance to grow. Amen.
What else can we do with the negatives?
We can pray and resist any tendency to nag.
We can leave any changing to God.
We can recognize prayer is our greatest hope for lasting change.
Need extra prayers, message us.
