As we enter the month of August it means several things: Summer is quickly drawing to a close so becoming more routine-oriented is an option and opportunities for schedules to be filled are here. How do we make the most of this time while being careful to be wise with our schedules? Priorities—knowing them and making decisions based on them is our answer!
This month at Keepers Ministry, we will be focusing on priorities in hopes of helping you, and reminding us how very important this task is on a daily basis. Also, it is especially important right now to make some big decisions before your schedule is determined for you. You must make a plan, so you manage your schedule instead of it controlling you!
So, as you begin to make a plan take some time to answer the following questions:
- What are my priorities?
- How am I doing at living out my priorities?
- What keeps me from living them out?
And some others:
- What am I investing my time into?
- Are they the same things that are important to God?
- How well am I managing my time?
As godly women we are called to manage many things, including our time. So you may wonder, “How can I know my priorities?” We can know our priorities because of God’s Word and studying His Truth. God’s Word is a gift to us because it is that written instruction guide on how to live. His Word shows us:
- A model of a godly woman in Proverbs 31:10-31.
- What we are to be and do as women in Titus 2:3-5.
- What is important and precious to God in 1 Peter 3:1-4.
I encourage you to take time to prayerfully read these passages as you begin to think about the upcoming season, your time and that of your family and how you can live life managing your schedule instead of it controlling you!
In His Love,
