The Tongue: A Vessel of Kindness

Posted by Lori Merrill on 11/08/2019

We all could use, or definitely need, random encouragement and a whole lot of kindness in our lives, right?! What if you and I were the ones that spread love through our words today? We could start right now—in our homes to our families, to a friend via text, to our co-workers and to the people God places in our life today.

Friend, let’s be the change that people need. I remember when I was at my lowest point emotionally & mentally during my health journey—how curt words and rude actions affected my mental health. I asked God then to help me always remember how a smile or a kind comment can make a world of difference to another. Friends, we are called to love others (Mark 12:30-31) and we can do this daily through our words.

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:14‬

“She opens her mouth with wisdom and loving instruction is on her tongue.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31:26‬

Blessings & Hugs,
Lori
