Wait. The Word Most of Us Love to Hate

Posted by Leigh Ann Hudson on 10/15/2016

Waiting…

There aren’t many of us that like that word. One of the most often quoted verses in the Bible contains that word we hate to hear. “Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:31

So, why is it that we hate it so much when we know that we have a God in heaven that has a perfect plan He is forming in our waiting? That is how we feel about our event today. Today is the day we have been waiting to occur, for years. We don’t know all the reasons for the wait, but we do know the interferences that came into our lives to make the wait happen.

That is why today we are celebrating our wait, at the hands of our Sovereign Lord. He has a reason and a plan for everything. Including this day. We will wait and see and faithfully share what the Lord has done; because now our waiting is over.

The following is written on the front of our Keepers Connection Conference brochure:

Welcome Friend,

Who knew we would wait more than 10 years to have a conference since the first time this idea crossed our lips?

Who knew the paths that our lives would take before He said, “Yes, this is the year”?

Who knew the women He would bring to serve in the ministry and then take away as well?

Who knew the transitions and joys that would take place in the lives of those who have partnered with us?

Who knew the heartache that would come and go for those involved in the ministry?

Who knew how He would continue to impact lives while many of our lives seem to be on hold?

Who could have known that this was your time and your day to join us for this event?

No one, but Him! He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17

And we welcome Him to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. Ephesians 3:20

In His Love,

Lori Merrill &Keepers Ministry Conference Team

If you weren’t able to join us this year for our Keepers Connection Conference then we ask that you pray about joining us next year, Lord willing, for our next one.

Blessings,

Lori

Friends,
Thank you for your perseverance as you waited on the Lord. I enjoyed this day so much. It is wonderful to hear Gods truth spoken in a room filled with ladies who desire to know him better. Everyone did a wonderful job and the Spirit of the Lord was so very present.

Carol, Thank you for your words of encouragement! I was so glad you joined us and how sweet for you and your young friend to come together as we talk about these very things you are doing in her life and she with you! We sensed Gods presence as well and cant wait to see all the fruit that HE WILL PRODUCE from our time together as we move forward in obedience to Him! Much love!
