Why Pray About the Past?

WHY PRAY about the Past?
When everyone is looking forward at 2019, why would we spend a day looking back at 2018?

•Because prayer is essential.
•Prayer is necessary.
•Prayer is vital.
•Prayer is foundational to all we do.
•Giving thanks is as well.
•And we learn from the past.

So, yesterday was set aside a day to pray. Together we thanked God for the past year. Together we praised Him as Adonai, Our Lord and Master. We thanked Him for what He has done in 2018:

•His leading
•His protection
•His guidance
•His blessings
•His lessons

Then we focused on Him as Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider. We sought Him concerning 2019 and the things to come. Asking that His plans be made ours.

•We asked Him to help us to dream about what may be.
•We sought Him.
•Asked for His guidance.
•Asked for His provision.
•Asked for His wisdom.
•We asked that He open doors and close doors (and that we would know the difference between hardship & Him revealing His will).
•We asked for His protection.
•We asked that we point women to Him always.
•We asked that His will be done in the Keepers Ministry in 2019.

It was a sweet and precious time with the Lord and these women. I am so thankful to get to share this day with them. I ask that you say a prayer for us as we anticipate "God to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us" (Ephesians 3:20).

It is a reminder to me that we all need to look back and see what God has done, give thanks and look forward to what He will do. Then offer ourself to Him for His purposes and for His glory! We love to get to serve each one of you.

In His Love,
Lori & Keepers Ministry Team
